Jamila Woods born in 1989 is a vocalist, community organizer, and poet. She is the Associate Artistic Director of Young Chicago Authors, an organization in the Chicago dedicated to uplifting youth voices through arts education and mentorship. Her work focuses on themes of Black ancestry, Black feminism and Black identity.
